Used Callaway Drivers for Seniors

Callaway is the only one of the five that has consistently sold a line built for a slower swing rather than a standard head adapted for one. That is Max Fast, and if you see one it is worth a hard look.

The rest of the range decodes as follows:

  • Big Bertha is the forgiveness family and has run for thirty years, so the name alone tells you little: the 2023 head is the genuinely senior-tuned one, set more upright than Callaway's standard build and sold with shafts down to 40 grams.
  • An X suffix, as in Paradym X or Elyte X, means draw-biased, and so does Max D.
  • Triple Diamond and anything marked LS are low-spin heads for fast players, and not for you.

The trap here is shaft weight rather than head name. Callaway sold the Max D models with both a 40 gram and a 65 gram stock shaft, so two clubs with the same name can be a world apart. Read the shaft on the card before you decide.
