Used TaylorMade Drivers for Seniors

More used TaylorMade drivers come up for sale than any other maker's, comfortably more than Callaway and several times as many as Ping. The hard part here is not finding one, it is knowing which to ignore. Most people are tempted by the Max Lite because of the name, but that is only right if your drives have dropped a long way.

How TaylorMade names its drivers

The model name on a listing is most of the specification. This is what each part of it means.

Before you buy

The shaft worth looking for is the Fujikura Air Speeder, which is the light stock option and is named often enough in titles to be findable.

TaylorMade model names and what they mean
Name	What it means
Qi35 Max	The model you will see most. If your drives still carry past about 210 yards, this is the one to take.
Qi35 Max Lite	Built for the slowest swings on the scale. Independent testing has it carrying shorter than the plain Max for anyone still driving past about 210 yards, so it is only right if your drives have dropped a long way.
D-Type and HD	The draw-bias heads actually designed for this swing. Thinner on the ground than you would expect.
