• MAX is the forgiving head, the one that is kindest on an off-center strike, and it is not the light one.
• LST is the low-spin head, built for the fastest swings in the game, and it is the one to walk past.
• SFT is the draw-biased head, worth a look if you fight a slice.
• HL is High Launch, and it is a lightweight build, which is what most golfers arriving here are actually after. It is a separate specification applied to those same heads. A G440 MAX and a G440 MAX HL are different clubs with nearly the same name.
