Why not just search the marketplace
You can, and it will not get you far. A marketplace search matches the words in a listing title, so "senior flex driver" returns everything carrying those words, ordered by whatever the site decides, and leaves you to work out which of the thousand suits a 195-yard carry and a slice. Flex, loft and head type are the things that decide whether a driver fits you, and they are exactly what a keyword search cannot sort on.
What we ask, and why
Nothing here needs a launch monitor or a number you would have to look up.
- Your typical carry off the tee sets the shaft flex. It is the single most important answer, and a bracket is enough. If you genuinely do not know, say so and we use your age instead, which is a rougher guide but a workable one.
- Your usual ball flight sets the loft band. A low flight raises it, because a slower swing that launches low is losing carry at both ends.
- Your miss decides whether the head should fight a slice. Answer slice and draw-biased heads move up the order.
- Handedness, budget and gender are filters rather than preferences. They decide what is shown at all.
- Brand is the one optional answer. Leave it open and you see everything; name one and we stay inside it.
What comes back
A ranked list of drivers that are for sale right now, best fit first. Where two fit equally well the cheaper one is on top, and every card states the flex, the loft and what it matched on, so you can disagree with any of it.
Two things worth knowing. Where the senior band runs thin we widen the list one step to regular rather than showing you an empty page, and the cards say which is which. And a lot of sellers leave the flex field blank. Where the title says it plainly we take it from there; where nothing states it, the club is dropped rather than assumed.
