Buying a driver as a gift?
The model year matters less than the flex and loft. A senior-flex driver from last year usually suits a slower swing better, and costs less, than this year's model in the wrong shaft.
Find the right driver for themMy dad and my uncle were both playing drivers built for swings they no longer had. I found them each a used driver that fits how they swing now, and it gave them about 10 yards back.

Asking prices come from used, Buy It Now listings on a major US online marketplace. Each figure is the median asking price for one model, compared with its US launch price. The ranges on this page are the spread across models, not across individual listings. Included models have at least 10 listings, come from a single model generation, and none has its asking prices bunched at a single figure. Ages 2 to 4 have only one or two models each, so treat those figures as indicative. Listing counts range from 11 to 126 per model; medians based on fewer listings are less stable. All figures are rounded.
